Budget

The Air Pollution Control District’s adopted Fiscal Year (FY) 2026–27 Final Budget is $6,638,367, representing an 11% decrease from the FY 2025–26 budget.

The majority of the District’s funding is generated through air pollution permit fees and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) air quality fee paid on locally registered vehicles. Additional funding sources include state and federal grants, as well as a limited amount of property tax revenue. The District does not typically receive funding from city or county general funds.

The District operates on a fiscal year that begins on July 1 and ends on June 30.

For FY 2026–27, the District’s hourly billing rate is $210.78, and the renewal factor is $110.24.
